The Inspiration Behind Crazy Cat-Hating Ladies · 6:42pm Oct 18th, 2018

Okay, so, it’s come to my attention that Crazy Cat-Hating Ladies has broken my personal record for lowest-rated story. I can see why. It’s definitely not my best work. :ajsleepy: In fact, I only wrote it to try to get a song out of my head. Not only did it fail in getting the song out, but it also got me super mad at my sisters’ cats even though they didn’t do anything (this time 😒). Furthermore, I may have unintentionally alienated a whole lot of cat people. Sorry about that.

Well, here goes everything/nothing. · 7:05am Oct 10th, 2018

Remember this blogpost?

It's getting close to a year since we've last talked. My only mode of contact left is via Facebook Messenger, and that's only because I've never used it until now.

Tonight, I have just sent a formal, true-to-the-heart apology to a friend that I deeply hurt last year. I know that there's a good chance that we may never reconcile, but I just hope that he will at least accept the apology.

Behind the Story: For You... · 12:03pm May 28th, 2021

I haven’t had a late night upload receive this universal of a response since Reinventing Music, honestly. Thank you, everyone who read it.

But enough of about that, what about the story?

When you hear the inspiration behind this story, you’re probably going to accuse me of not writing what I know, but I just felt like I needed to write For You... for myself as well as for other people.

The Reason · 6:47am Apr 17th, 2020

Well, this story was certainly an experience. It's always interesting when one of the voices in my head decides to speak up and make me pen their word fountain for them, and then insists that I post it or they will not shut up. Last time that happened actually it was with my voice named Mia and the story she prompted me to write was "Into The Mirror" which, Ironically, made it to the top of the featured page.

Behind the Story: The Drumming Pegasus · 11:30pm Sep 28th, 2020

Sorry, this is late this time, but I’ve been so tired recently.

But today, I finally went to sleep and got up at a reasonable hour, so I’m doing this.

Yes, Reinn is my ponysona, and that name arose because the creator is terrible at names and decided to reshuffle hers to make a new one.

Behind the Story: Amethyst · 9:57pm Dec 27th, 2021

So, I’m back with these blog posts, not only out of a presumed obligation (don’t worry, I’d stop if I hated doing this), but also because I really like talking about my influences. This is mainly because Amethyst has an origin story that I love, which eventually disappointed me because I couldn’t replicate that feeling.

But let’s start earlier, shall we?

Behind the Story: All The Small Things (Plus: A Special Announcement) · 4:36pm Feb 1st, 2023

I feel like I’m getting back into the groove of writing. This story was very fun to write, and while it could’ve used a little more editing (I released this 2 hours from February beginning under a time crunch), I’m proud of it.

The Special Announcement will be at the end of this post.

Something About Sticky and Sweet · 1:25pm Aug 17th, 2021

This is a blog post about Sticky and Sweet, you could call it an installment of Behind The Story, but it’s more about myself.

It’s no secret that I’ve written a lot of trans pony stories recently. Some of them have been received well, and some of them haven’t. It’s also no secret that I’m trans, anyone with a basic knowledge of pride flags could find that out by looking at my avatar.

Yes, ThePinkedWonder does stuff like this. That’s exactly why I’m doing this. I’ll probably be doing this for future stories, as well.

It’s a good idea, what can I say? You might want to read the story before this though, because there’s a lot of spoliers.

So, for the 7 people who read the whole story through, whoever you are, let’s talk about this story.

Behind the Story: Me and Poppy · 4:00am Feb 27th, 2022

I feel like I screwed something up because that like/view ratio isn’t the greatest. However, I very much liked the story, and I’m prepared to talk about it.

This story concept actually started a while ago. The story is based on Me and Bobby McGee as performed by Janis Joplin and the Full Tilt Boogie Band, which is of the greatest songs I’ve ever heard. So, in my usual fashion, I decided to write a story about it.

Behind the Story: One Mare Story · 9:49pm Mar 3rd, 2023

This story went through several permutations before reaching its final destination. Also, apologies for lateness.

A lot of ideas went into this, and I’m prepared to talk about it. First, we need to go back a few years.

Behind the Story: Constantly Changing · 1:59pm Jan 4th, 2023

Sorry this took so long. My wi-fi went out and I had to upload this from school. But, I’m happy to see that this story did not underperform like my last few (though one I purposely didn’t advertise for it to underperform). I’m prepared to pick into Constantly Changing.

So, to properly explain this story, I need to first talk about anime.

Behind the Story: A Single Seed · 9:14pm Jul 12th, 2021

I haven’t done one of these in a while, I didn’t do one for The Nightmare Procession because it’s unfinished, didn’t do one for Not Who I Thought I’d Be because I frankly didn’t want to deal with the fallout that story caused twice over, and didn’t do one for The Butterfly Effect because it’s also unfinished.

That means this story is probably the first one in a month or so the readers of my blogs get any background information on.

Nobody’s read this thing, but at least it seems like it has gone over well.

Anyways, I decided that now was a good time to write this so I don’t forget to do it later.

Anyways, A Little Odd went in a completely different direction than originally intended, and I’m prepared to talk about it.

Behind the Story: Scaled and Icy · 1:11pm Jun 12th, 2021

I’d never considered myself a Twenty Øne Piløts fan. I was a girl who liked their songs but hadn’t bothered digging into Blurryface and Vessel, both apparently fantastic albums.

But I do have to admit I was a huge fan of Trench, and when I kept hearing Shy Away, the lead single to TØP’s recent studio album, on the local Alternative station, I have to admit, I was rather excited for Scaled and Icy.

How’d that turn out? Well, we’re here now, aren’t we?

Behind the Story: Forgotten Memories · 4:05pm Sep 25th, 2022

This story isn’t one of my greatest works, and in fact might need a little more added to it, just some minor context, it didn’t even come from all too interesting a place, but this is my duty and my blog views are tanking because my music blogs don’t really have an audience. So… I’m prepared to talk about Forgotten Memories.

Behind the Story: Story of Us · 2:47am Sep 3rd, 2021

I feel a little strange writing these sorts of things for speedwrites.

I mean, I wrote it in an hour, there was no preconceptional or conceptual phase. There is only an execution, writing, and review phase.

But I’m still going to damn well try.

So, I declared that I was going to release a story every month, and while I have another story hopefully coming sometime when I figure out how the concept’s going to flow, I didn’t want to screw that up almost immediately.

Behind the Story: What Were They? · 11:43pm Aug 6th, 2021

It only just now occurred to me that I never did one of these for this story. I don’t know why.

This story was written simply and came from a simple place.

I’m pretty sure anyone who reads my blogs knows that I’ve joined Quills and Sofas Speedwriting. I was talking with The Red Parade in the Discord when he mentioned a possible prompt for the Pillars Shipping Contest that was too good to pass up.
